Removing Fraud Alert Experience? And good news! New credit Card!

How easy is it to get Fraud Alert turned off on EX TU & EQ?
Anyone have any luck with this?

Will that affect my score at all?
Open me up for more hard pulls that I am not expecting?

Good news.  I mailed out 5 GW letters, WFNNB, LNVN, Verizon Wireless, GEMB, and HSBC.
I am very hopeful about these, anyone have experience with GW letters and these companies?

I got approved for an easy card, $300 CL, unsecured, annual fee broken down into monthly installments, $4.95 application cost.  Yay!  I plan on charging a tank of gas per month to it, waiting for it to post, and paying it off in full.  This is my first credit card since 2004, when everything was written off or closed.  I literally have no open accounts with a CL over $0 so this is going to raise my 518 score to 648-688 (as predicted by the FICO Score Simulator).
How incredible would that be?!?!

I am so excited, I only need to write one PFD and I am hopeful that these baddies will come off with my GW letters.

I am so thankful for this forum already, seriously.  This gives me so much hope!

Re: Removing Fraud Alert Experience? And good news!

I applied here:

The interest rate is insane, 19.5% or something, so If you can't pay the balance in full, I wouldn't reccomend it.  I am just tyring to fill in some of the missing spots in my credit worthiness.  I am willing to pay the annual fee junk to build up my score because I am buying a house next year.

I only have 2 scores, TU 554, and EQ 518.  I haven't checked ex, I am going to pull all 3 with credit scores after action from GW letters & PFD to see if there is anything else I missed.

You can check in the simulator thing how much the card will raise your score, if it seems worth it to you, go for it!

Re: Removing Fraud Alert Experience? And good news!

I just wanted to let you know that I applied and got approved.  This is going to help me tremendously to balance out my credit report for revolving accounts.  I am a AU on an account and it will not report as of Sept so this helps!

Awesome!

I heard that they increas the credit limit often, which also can help you!

I think everyone gets approved for the $70, but the $300 is harder to get.

Congrats!

Let me know when you get yours in the mail, I am still waiting for mine ( it's been 3 or 4 days, it's coming soon)
