Response to PFD

I received the following letter in response to a PFD letter I sent out last week to a CA for a medical bill.

Dear Matthew,

I am writing in response to your correspondence on the above mentioned file.  It is my understanding that you wish to settle this account for $801.00 and have it deleted from your credit file.  We will agree to this settlement and agree that we will SEND TO HAVE THE FILE DELETED FROM YOUR CREDIT BUREAU ON NOVEMBER 1, 2007 but understand that we cannot GUARANTEE that the file is going to be deleted from your credit bureaus on that date.  We send all information to the three national bureaus at the beginning of each month, we cannot guarantee when Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion will pick up that information and have it removed from your file.  This  normally takes 60-120 days from the date of transmission.

Once again, we will agree to have the file removed from your credit bureaus if payment is received by no later than October 31, 2007 and we send to have this DELETED, not updated as paid in full, but DELETED from your credit file.

Should you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to contact our office bla bla bla...

Copied word for word except the very last part.

Looks to me like I'm good to go!!

Any thoughts??

Re: Response to PFD

Wouldn't it be nice if all CA's would treat people like this one?

Re: Response to PFD

This is an old thread I see, but im wondering if I should be including in PFD letters something to specifically demand it is deleted and not updated as Paid. I am guessing this person that created this thread specified that? how do you get such a detailed acceptance letter from the CA??

Well, it's not a PFD if they don't delete.  The Rebuilding subforum is for topics such as this.
