SOL or Reaging on Credit Report

Hey fellow FICO Psychos

I have a question. I have a collection on my TU and EQ report from Armor Systems for $132.00. I PFD them back in Feb 2007. They responded and said no. This is what the letter said. I was wondering since Armor is saying on the report open date of 03/25/2002. I have disputed this back in FEB 07 and TU and EQ say meets FCRA requirements.

Dear @@@

Regarding your letter received in our office on Feb 1, 2007, this matter is in the hands of the Armor Systems Corporation. I have enclosed the copy of the agreement you signed on December 19,2000 and the letters that were sent to you before we sent this to our Collection Agency. as you can see you were given two years to Feburary 20,2001 untill to the last letter Feburary 1,2002 which was very a generous grace period to make payment. This is truly is your debt. Any suffering you have incurred was done by you alone by not making any attempt to pay this debt in a timely manner. i have forward your letter to Armor Systems.

I know the letter has some grammer issues. But that is it word for word. They have sent me a copy of the original agreement dated  12/19/00 and have also sent me the bill from the uniform place dated 2/27/2001 and says recieved Jan 02, 2001. So do you think I should send copies to TU and EQ and ask for a Delete. Thank You

Re: SOL or Reaging on Credit Report

I think I figured out my question. I think it will stay on til Feb 08. So I figured since it is mine I would call and see about a PFD.. I called  Armor and talked to a girl. I said I am calling in referance to this account and was wondering if I could pay for a delete. She replied we don't do that and between me and you it is coming off in Dec 2007. I said OH. I see. She said' if you really want to you can pay it and have it show paid before DEC. I said I think I will wait. She said I don't blame you. I said don,t update the account to the CRA's she said I can't we didn"t do anything to update. SWEET

Okay looks like ou opened the account on 2000 since that was Desember, it couldn't go delinquent before 2001.  BAsically that meansthe account will stay on your report at leas till 2008 from whenever you went delinquent on it. now you'd have to do seven years from that date. you're looking at Jan or Feb coming up.

Hold on to thatletter you may need it i itever comes back to bite you again
