I sent letter asking for late payment to be removed from my record. Now 2 Reports have "Dispute resolved; customer disagrees" and another has "Consumer disputes after resolution" on this report my score increased 50pts. Seems I'm causing more issues then I originally had, all over $8. Not sure why score increased, can only assume its masking late payment due to dispute. But I thought it doesnt mask the negative anymore with a dispute? I'm so upset and confused. I would almost suggest if you get a late payment DO NOT send letters to CA it could only make situation even worse by the negative dispute commets they add on. Late payment is having some effect on a loan I'm trying to get but now with these remarks added it has seriously effected our chances now.
Don't send a letter or make disputes for something like this to the CRA's.
They are not (in your case) going to remove the lates just because it's paid. You need to search this site for Goodwill Letters. Read up on them. I wrote several...to several companies....back in 2008. I know that 3 or 4 removed the bad TL for me.
Best advice on a letter, keep it short & to the point. Maybe 4 paragraphs. 2 or 3 sentences each. They do NOT want to read a novel & don't have the time either.
Hunt down the CFO online & send an email.
Good luck.

That is exactly what I did and they were they ones that added dispute comments. Not the credit bureau. I specifically said it was my fault and asking based on Goodwill to consider removing. Was response from CEO office
OUCH! Gotcha. I thought you sent to CRA's. When are they due to drop??
