Soft-pull PREAPPROVALs - Updated 4/20/21

I got the pre-qualify language on mobile. No-go for me, top reason was "too many Walmart accounts". I only have the store card. Other two reasons were too many recent inquiries and too many new revolvers (that's fair).

I managed to get the Pre-approval page a couple of weeks ago, but now it's just the Apply Now verbiage. This is on mobile.

Id post a screenshot, but it just tells me image size is too big and have no clue how to make it smaller on my phone.

I think you messed something up on the wayfair on the actual prequalification page it says we will not harm your credit score, maybe you applied by accident?

Good Morning @M_Smart007 ....try the link using "Incognito".  That's the only way I can get the pre-approval for both Mobile and Chromebook.  Cap1 has our cookies and/or ip address ?????? I guess.... so that's probably why the pre-approval doesn't come up using that link and only the "apply" is presented.  Anyway, try it in incognito mode and see whatcha get.

Not looking to apply for the card. (just was confirming what some others were reporting)

As I had closed the last one a while back, that had been converted to Cap1 from SYNC.

Cap1, Comenity and Sir Barclay's .. Don't like my profile

You can probably Add SYNCAA to that list

Me too!  Just curious as well.  I had the Walmart card that transitioned too, closed it too.   I was hoping I was on to something...Agent!  ....guess not.  Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

You guys, I don't know how I did it unless I was half asleep, but I meant to reply to this thread and instead it ended up over in CC approvals.  Anyway, I wasn't able to use the Walmart Preapproval link from my desktop but when I did as someone else suggested and tried the link on my phone, I got the prequal and after seeing that I qualified, I bit the hook and applied and got an instant approval with a $1K SL.  All of my data points are in the post here:

When I tried for prequal for Wal-Mart, got too many recent revolving and too many inquiries.  Considering how many of each, I was expecting that.  What I wasn't expecting is they used FICO 3 for prequal.  Weird, since I am pretty sure they would pull FICO 8 if you applied.
