Someone tried using my credit!

At around 8pm today someone applied at OneMain.... I'm in the middle of buying a home and such. 

anyways, I froze all 3 CB reports... can they still access my credit file by looking at Annual credit report?.

Oh nooooo, that's a bummer . . . hopefully it will have no bearing on your mortgage approval once you explain that you never applied at OneMain and perhaps you can get the inquiry removed. Best wishes.

Someone tried to open a credit card in my name.  I froze all my reports and put a fraud alert on all three.

If you've frozen them on the individual CB sites...no, they will not be accessible on Annual Credit Report.

I guess, it should not impact your mortgage since it was blocked and there is no HP.

Anyway, to be on the safe side, I suggest to place freeze on also chexsystems/utilities, request PIN to access your federal tax return. You may do all with a Lifelock service. There is an onogoing promotion of 95% discount via Rakuten and you may purchase its annual service for almost free...

They may be, but I still laugh about all the trolls that got various types of accounts, drivers licenses, etc. in his name years ago when the founder of Lifelock showed his actual SSN in a national TV add!🤣
