I think you will be given DD regardless of what company you use as along as it was e-file and you choose the DD option. Also by the way dont expect the exact amount as stated by the government 600 for single, 1200 for joint and 300 for each child. If you have more than two kids you phase out due to the phase out amount is 1200. So if you filed joint and make less than 150K and have three kids you check will be for 1500 not 2100.
My question is.....If I bought and paid for the turbotax software....filed my return my self using the turbo tax soft ware i paid for......did a direct deposit.......
will my refund be direct deposited or will it be papered??
Im confused because im not sure if they are referring to the online turbo tax web site vs. the software i bought>>
I dont think it matters because in order for you to e-file you have to go thru a company such as HR Block or Turbotax as the IRS doesnt have a system they can give to customers to e-file so you have to use an outside vendor.
Those places use their bank to direct deposit it to you so therefore its gonna be mailed to ya. I used Turbotax online and had it dd and mine is getting mailed .

I don't think that is true...I just went to the link and did mine and we make less than 150,000 and have three kids and it state we should expect 2100. Am I wrong?
Or maybe it is because we have three kids and only grossed right at 80,000....Beans and rice- rice and beans....thats what it's gonna be if groceries keep going up and teenagers keep coming to my house like stray cats looking for milk!

Hey thanks for the info...I check my bank statement and it said "AUTOMATED CREDIT US TREASURY 220 TAX".....that make me feel better...btw I used Tax Act to efile my taxes. I have used them the last couple of years because they are free...found it on irs website.

Hot diggity! Mine looks similar to that "TAX REFUND US TREASURY 220" -- and should be in this week. I used a private tax preparer/acct (only the second time in my 20+ years of filing). I've checked my bank about 4 times today -- probably along with everyone else. I'll update when I see something.
