Re: Success Stories and Encouragement

3 good things have happened since visiting this forums:

1.  Got a 30 day late from Countrywide removed with a good will letter to them!  All within 2 weeks.  emailed the President got a response the same day stating they will remove the 30 day late.
2.  Since my scores were increased I got 2 CC to up my limit to 15k and 10k from 10k and 4800.....
3.  Got 4.99% APR on a new car!

I'm still waiting on 2 GW to SEars and Macy's.  Not counting on them, but by the 2 year mark (Nov') I should be ready to purchase a new home.  So my scores should be above 700 by then.  I figure I'll have 0% util by then.  Just my Car payments and my rental property mortgage.....

Thanks again!!!

Re: Success Stories and Encouragement

My EQ Fico has gone up from 422 to 470 in less than five weeks.

Wow!

All my scores were in the 400's now two of them are in the 500's!

Wow!

How: I paid my credit card bills on time and made multiple, small payments every month.

Good luck everyone!

Re: Success Stories and Encouragement

Since the end of last year i have been my mom on her credit, boy its a mess but now it has gotten a little better. Asset Acceptance, Allied INT, and CBCS have all been deleted. CBCS is still on Equifax though!

Her scores when we started were Eq-467 Ex-503 Tu-513 fast forward a couple of months they are a lil better Eq-525 Ex-571 Tu-597....she's almost in the 600 club which i never think she has been a part of!

We still have quite a bit of ways to go:

13 collection on Equifax
 6 collection on Transunion
11 collection on Experian

Re: Success Stories and Encouragement

I would really be interested in finding out how you were able to the Medical Bills collection deleted off the credity report.  That is what I am trying to work on.  Any information you could give me would be very appreciated.  Thanks.

Re: Should have posted this here :)

I have small triumph to celebrate.

#1.  I had a co reporting with lates.  I sent a gw letter, it wasn't my account.  They replied with that they would take it off my cr.

#2.  My brothers gf was being reported on one of my cr.  I disputed it, and got it removed.

#3.  I disputed some inquiries and got them removed.

Our long term goal is to improve our credit enough to qualify for a mortgage.  Currently my scores are EQ 585, TU 568, Ex 598.  I look forward to the 600 club when the co above gets removed from my credit report.  DH and I are betting on how many points my score will go up.

Re: Success Stories and Encouragement

I have a lot to celebrate! First... wrote a GW to Countrywide, got 30 day late removed. Then I wrote a GW to Pioneer Military Loans, and got another 30 day late removed. Those were great and took my husband's and my own CR up by 50 points. But my Coup de Grace is getting my Macy's 30, 60, 90, 120 day lates taken off of my account. I can't wait to see what that does for my credit. I'm so excited!

I would very much like to know this as well.

Today I am celebrating paying off my settlement with Asset Acceptance.

I started with a $6000 Citicard debt, which became a $12000 Asset Acceptance Debt. I settled for $7200 and set up a monthly payment plan with AA (Before coming to this site or I would have known better), and as of today after my $1600 payment, I am free and clear of AA for good!!! Well except for the whole collection entry on my credit reports

Only $6209 to go on other accounts before I'm delinquency and debt free. Now if I could just get some of these old settled accounts deleted entirely. GW letters haven't done me any good yet, but I guess all I can do is keep trying.

Re: Success Stories and Encouragement

My EQ just went up another 18 points!  I can't believe it!  In March my EQ was 422 now it is 483.  I have written no letters, just followed the payment advice to this board.  My TU is actually above 540--I just can't believe it!

I am ready for the next step--writing those letters.

Keep up the great work everyone!
