Just an update regarding removing the 2nd HP that occurred based on the original post.
Mid January they initially stated I need to send more information after sending priority mail early/mid December(?) (acknowledged receipt by an automated call to me stating so). All of my credit monitoring services that provide such information since I filed a dispute through them stated the dispute was closed a few weeks ago after they request for more information which I did not send considering I sent MyFICO, CK, WH reports showing an 11/15 and 11/16 HP for the one app.
Received notice dated 1/28 stating: A request has been sent to TU to modify the inquiry from a hard inquiry to a promotional/soft inquiry. They then explained what should have happened and finally seem to acknowledge that I I did and should not have received 2 HP for the 1 application. It has yet to be removed and may be too soon to expect it to be done. Will see.
I decided to let it go as these are the only INQ on TU, 1 expiring on EX soon to be removed and no longer scorable and none on EQ. Plus I have no plans to app for anything. Will see what happens. It's just the principle, but I chose not to battle any further to reduce frustration.....
