Re: The "Which Banks Pull Which Report For Apps" list

Guys, I have a question about cc applications and don't know where to post it... so may be I'll just ask here.

1. When you fill CC application in income - do you round up the sum of your income, like $85000, or do you have to be precise, count everything exactly and put like $85234?

2. If it asks for Total Income in application - do you put your gross or your net income?

FICO® Score 8 (Apr 2021)
EX 764 | EQ 771 | TU 800

TCL: $72,900
INQs in last (6 m./12 m.)
EX (2/2) | EQ (0/2) | TU (0/1)

I've typically rounded to the nearest hundred. Never had an issue. Target RedCard actually rounds it for you to the nearest thousand.

I use gross unless specifically asked for net income. So far Synchrony is my only lender that wanted net income. Many allow total household income as well, which I use where applicable (mine and my wife's income since we have shared bank accounts).

Hi forum! My DPs, in Idaho, all in 2 last months:

1. SynCB (PayPal MC) - pulled all three EX, EQ, TU... It was my first cc app ever and at that time my credit history was 0, no score at all. May be that's why they pulled all 3 (trying to find at least something LOL). I had no clue I need a credit history to be approved.

2. Cap One (Secured card) - all three EX, EQ, TU

3. Discover (Student card) - EX, EQ

4. BofA (Cash rewards) - EX (Warning. I got pre-qualify link and tried it and it "qualified" me for cash rewards card without even having any credit score!!! There is some glitch in their pre-qual prog.)

5. Chase (Sapphire Preferred) - EX (applied after I got a score from AU, thought now I can get any card I want)

6. Amex (Cash Magnet) - EX

7. Discover (Secured) - EX

Needless to say that out of 7 I got approved only for 2 secured...learning-learning-learning...

I consider myself now in the first month of my credit history, because its only a month since my CR was generated.

I got my first Cap1 statement and I was amazed that it appeared on EX and EQ the next day already! but not on TU yet.

I am interested to apply for HSBC card. Aksed in their chat. They said they will pull EQ.

Here in our area - GESA CU. I asked - they said they will most likely pull TU.

That's all my DP for now.

Looking at your profile, HSBC will not give you a card. AMEX might ( now that you have a score) They like people just starting out. Check the AMEX  Prequalification link. If you do not see anything, check back in few months. Do not cold app. I hear good things about GESA but I am not familar with their credit products.

Thank you, Morpho.

HSBC pre-qual tool showed me that I am pre-qualified for their Gold card and cash rewards and Platinum rewards. And I just felt in love with their card's design Smiley Happy But yeah, I am afraid to apply now. Especially after BofA pre-qual. I got enough HPs and denials for now. I'd like to start banking with them, but not even sure they are going approve me for checking. Applied for Advance checking and heard nothing from them in 10 days. I thought ok I probably can't get this credit card with lion now, but at least I can get debit card with lion... but no.

Will certainly check Amex later.

p.s. Gesa has amazing checking account offer now with 3% APY and $300 bonus...  (I am just sad about HSBC now... feels like I am standing at the door - hey I brought you my money, will you open the door for me? No answer. All right, may be then I will bank with Gesa.) Sorry for off-toping in here.... may be Mod please move it somewhere.

BoA prequal form on there is more of a recommendation. The only way you'll know your info about a card product is if a mail offer comes to you or you apply.

Re: The "Which Banks Pull Which Report For Apps" list

@credit_is_crackI Hope all is well  ...

So in searching My EX & EQ for My Wells Fargo pulls  Propel Amex and Cash Wise Visa

I found They only pulled HP'd EX in California.

I searched EQ both Hard and Soft pulls  .. Wells Fargo has never looked at My EQ report.

Also My reports have not been locked for many years. So I just wanted to add my 2 cents. Take care.
