I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere on the forums, but we all know how the CA try to trick you. I decided to try and trick them back to see what would happen. I paid an account and wanted a PFD, but LJ Ross insisted they will report it on June 15th as paid and closed, but it will not be deleted. Yesterday, I called them and asked for the confirmation number for the payment as if I didn't write it down. I then said, "just to confirm, this will be reported deleted to the CRA on Monday". I didn't say reported and deleted I simply said reported deleted as if it were one word. The agent responded and said yes sir that is correct, we report on Mondays and it will be updated then. Today I called, gave them my account number and asked that it be confirmed that my account will be deleted. The agent said we do not do that we only report paid in full and closed. I asked for a supervisor and explained to the supervisor that the agent the day before confirmed it would be deleted. I said to the supervisor to listen to the phone call where his agent says yes to my question of deletion. He said he would and would call me back. I just got the call (which I recorded on my end) and the supervisor informed me that he did listen to the call and the agent should not have confirmed the deletion, but it will be deleted due to their mistake. I asked for that to be mailed to me, he agreed. So, it looks like my trick worked, we shall see. If it doesn't get deleted, I have enough to go to the BBB and to the CRA to dispute and get a deletion. At least I would think I do.
I am going to try this on the other two that are being a pain in my behind and see if it will work again.
wow, lucky that worked! Congrats on getting the PFD! Good luck with the others.
Thanks! We shall see. I am definitely going to keep trying that tactic.
Wow! That's awesome! Hoping they follow through as promised! Great job!

'A man's got to do what a man's got to do.' Hopefully this works out now and later.
Nice, hope it works out on the other bureaus. If it did come down to having to fight it out with them, I suggest filing a complaint with the CFPB. The BBB doesn't really have any power. The CFPB is a different animal, and CRA's along with CA's don't like hearing from them.
