Re: TrueCredit Users' Accounts Terminated for "Excessive Use?"

I just tried Amex Credit Secure. It says unlimited updates? While TC says unlimited daily, is Credit Secure actually unlimited no restrictions? Can you update 5 times a day if you wanted? (just a question) It won't allow me to update until trial is over. Trying to decide which service to keep. Thanks. I like the all in one page from Credit Secure.

I can update mine every day.
Don't have to wait for a certain amount of time to pass.

I am not that thrilled with it.
Does not show last updated dates,
Does not show lates >2 years old.

Do they allow you to pull more than once a day?

My lender just put incorrect data on my TU CR when I app with them. This incorrect personal data might cause problems. It would be an easy dispute to correct but on the other had if I dispute I'm worried TU will see too many softies and cancel my TC account. Do you think my TC account will be closed if I dispute?

Once per DATE.

So if you checked it last night you could refresh this AM.

and then not again until the DATE changes.

So how often can one check their TC without it being considered "Excessive Use?"

Have not been terminated yet.

Signed up using Walmart link, about $13/mo. Last month I was billed $15. Called, complained, they said they'd issue a credit. Nothing said about excessive useage.

Don't think anyone knows yet--this is relatively recent, and no one has figured out the pattern yet. I'm pulling daily, but I haven't been doing so for long.

I'm hoping to pull daily for one month, to get a feel for who updates what when, then 2x week for another month, then weekly, then I guess 2x month. If they nuke me, oh well! Guess they didn't realize that they were actually going to have to provide service for payment, imagine that.

Maybe we can all update as we each get frozen out as to how long/ how frequently/ etc before they acted. Makes me feel like a little kid on a rainy day, guesstimating with siblings as to how far we can go before Mom cracks, except that gee, whiz, we're adults conducting business.

I have cancelled my TC and signed up with Chase, so we see how it goes.

So while my TU lasts, if I pull from Chase and TC, do I get two soft pulls?  Smiley Happy
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid
