Back in 2012. I stiffed Verizon for about $800, due to losing my job. In reality, it was more like $300, but they added this fee, that fee and the other thing fee, just to rub dirt in the wounds. It went to collections. Reported bad on my credit. Fast forward to 8-9 months ago, I settled with the collection company. They completely deleted. My "baddies" on all 3 CRs are spotless.
Anyways.... being that there is absolutely nothing on my CRs about it...... would I ever be able to get a Verizon phone again any time soon? Do they keep this kind of stuff on their own records?
Yes you will be allowed to get an account again with Verizon. They will do a credit check. It also helps that you have taken care of the old account.
Do prepaid no credit check.

Unless you want to buy a phone on the payment plan.
