Thanks, I found out that you cannot apply online if you dont bank with them.  And I also found out that you cannot apply for it, you have to apply for their platinum visa and if they deny you then they may offer you the 99/500.

I don't think you have to bank with them.. but you do have to be denied for a regular card first.

You actually do have to have a checking account... They just don't tell you that EVER... If you don"t have a checking account, they prequalify you for a $300 secured...

They just told me on the phone that you cannot apply online if you dont bank with them.  She didnt say I couldnt qualify for the 99/500 card if I didnt bank with them.

Honestly, I wouldnt bank with them if my life depended on it.

The checking policy must be new.. You never use to need one.
