I love you man, because finally somebody has appeared on these forums who is more tightfisted with his money than I am. Woo-hoo! I am no longer Ebeneezer Scrooge or even Jacob Marley!
Until very recently, a Wells Fargo credit card gave a person his EX mortgage score for free. But I think I may have heard that WF has switched to FICO 9.... is that right, do you know? I closed my WF card to avoid my first annual fee with them, and then one month later I thought I saw somebody say that WF had switched to FICO 9.
When do you think you will graduate, and can you make a guess as to how long after that you might buy a house? If it is far enough in the future, you may find that the ancient mortgage models in use today are no longer the thing that Fannie Mae forces everyone to use. (The Experian model is especially old -- from 1998. Almost 20 years old!!!)
If I were you, I would consider buying all of your scores at myFICO once every two years, just for fun. It only costs $30 and you'll get to see a ton of info, including all of your FICO 9 scores, which are hard to find. You really like this credit stuff and a hobby that only costs $30 every two years is really cheap.
I wonder when I'll find someone even thriftier than me on these forums. I'm not aware of WF credit scores and I currently don't have plans to get one. I graduate in May 2020. Probably buy a house in 2021. Do you think people on this forum would be allowed to make group donations to select people to get their credit scores. Like if you wanted to see how a person with a charge card scores on FICO from month to month, then a lot of people each donate $1 each month through paypal to get that score for score understanding purposes.

I probably won't get it since I already have a FICO 8 BE through Citi.
Web sites that charge people a monthly fee for their scores and reports (e.g. myFICO, Credit Check Total, etc.) have been I suspect tremendously hard hit by the revolution in easy access to frequent reports and FICO scores. It's really only been in the last 2-3 years.
Folks should be aware that the Lenny app is only available on iTunes for Apple iOS.

I think it is very possible that four years from now Fannie Mae may no longer be mandating the use of those extremely old models. FM may decide on its own or Congress may decide for it:

So I would not spend any effort trying to find free versions of a score that may well be worthless four years from now.
We just get the freebies thru our credit cards. Capitol Ones "CreditWise" is pretty good. When we got the loan for the car the Cap One site was immediately showing the two hard inquiries in the "alerts" area. It gives a really basic credit report feature as well. I use these mainly so I know if anything has changed, not so much for an exact score.
they saved me a while back when some con artists put a couple debts on my report that werent mine. My score dropped down really quickly so I was able to see something was up and get it dealt with.
Hi There,
I have am monitoring what's aging off my reports so I switched from CCT to myfico utimate at the beginning of the year. For me it's the only tool that monitors and alerts timely for all 3 bureaus. I did not feel like CCT alerted me to changes enough. I use CK to see reports also since the myfico product only refreshes the reports every 90 days.
There's a product called myFICO Premium (as opposed to myFICO Ultimate, which is what you have) that may be the right fit for you. It gives you your reports (and a few dozen scores) every 30 days rather than 90. Do a search for the word Premium on the forum and I am sure you will find several threads about it.
I currently get my FICO's on several credit cards.
My Chase Slate & AMEX gives me my Experian, My Citi card gives me Equifax, and my Discover IT gives me my TU.
I get TU 08 all over the place - Amazon, WalMart, Barclay, Discover and Merrick.
I get EX from AMEX and you can sign up for it from Discover Scorecard (Discover card account gives TU but the free scorecard gives EX monthly)
I don't have anywhere to get an EQ08. DCU gives 04 or 05?? I don't remember which. Which is helpful but skews a little low.
While rebuilding I've done the CCT monitoring. The benefit of doing the $1 trial and canceling is more frequent TU and EQ. If you do the $15 discounted, you get EX daily but TU and EQ once per month. I was pulling them 2-3 times a month using the trial.
Order, cancel anytime, even right after you sign up, you have the account for 10 days. On the 7th day, pull your new 3B report. After day 10 you can sign up again for $1 if you want. Same log-in info.

Thanks! I have a Discover It card & bank accounts with them, but didn't know about the EX Scorecard. I just signed up, beats the bi-weekly credit.com EX Vantage and playing the CCT $1 game. Amex pre-qual is approving me for BCE but I'm waiting until Sept to app, EX FICO is 686 w/2 accounts included in BK w/lates that fall off by August at the latest, hoping EX rises to around TU's 720 with all IIB accounts early excluded and get a better SL with Amex. .
I don't have anywhere to get EQ FICO either, other than playing the CCT game every couple of months. I've read a Citi issued card gives you EQ FICO, but Citi was heavily included in my 2010 BK7, so I don't expect to do business with them anytime soon.
