Where to Purchase FICO Score?

Hello,

I have around 4 months of credit history. I'd like to obtain a FICO score once the 6-month mark is up (perhaps even after 5 months since I've read in the forums that it's possible for some people), but as far as I know, all 3 credit bureaus do NOT offer refunds even if my history is too short to generate a FICO score, according to the rep, it's more of like a free addon that comes with the report. So I'm here to ask where would be the best place to purchase FICO score that offers a refund in case of unavailability? Thanks in advance.

This site offers them and afaik will not charge if they cannot generate a FICO score for you. The support provided is very good, so you should have no problems getting refunded in the event you are charged without a score. And about other sites, most charge a slightly higher fee for score access so you could ask for a refund of the difference between the report fee and the report with score fee as a compromise.

Depending on what cards you have, you might start getting a score through them. You could also try CreditKarma or the other FAKO sites and see what happens. I don't know what they will do a score can't be generated; I suppose they would either estimated it like normal or give you an error message, but either way is free and gives you information about the reports.

Re: Where to Purchase FICO Score?

Another way to get a FICO score is applying for a credit card / loan and getting denied. Some creditors don't use FICO though, but many do, so this approach generally works. However, as with many things, it comes at the cost of a hard pull.

Try applying for a Barclaycard Rewards Mastercard. If you get it, you have a decent score. If you don't, you'll be sent a letter with specific reasons for denial, and will likely include your TransUnion FICO score.

As for FAKO scores (non-FICO; alternatives), they're hit and miss, but tend to be the rough ballpark. Free website Credit Karma is a good one to check - generates a Vantage 3.0 score.

mxp114's suggestion would be the ideal, since FICO is the gold standard. However, I'm not sure myFICO really offers refunds / credit for not generating a score. Is that in writing anywhere?

the 21$ is too expensive and they will cut it in halk. It's daily pulls..
