Why did Credit Karma do a soft pull on Experian???

Hey guys! so i just got my Experian credit report from annualcreditreport.com, and i saw a sort inquiry from Credit Karma. The thing is that CK only gives the Transunion and Equifax scores and not Experian, so why did Credit Karma soft pull my Experian report.

I'm only asking because i'm curious. I know soft pulls don't hurt my score.

I'm also wondering if CK are even allowed to pull my Experian report because i never gave them permission to do so. I only gave my permission for TU an EQ for the porpus of viewing my score.

Any ideas?

I've noticed that as well! I've also asked CK to no avail. Makes me wonder if they're pulling my report for their "offers".

I noticed that too and also wondered the same thing. I always figured it was related to their targeted offers from their "partners."

I think this is it ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

CK has probably worked out an agreement to SP EX, In order for partner offers.  ....(I could be wrong)

Yes they must be pulling for their own benefit somehow.

I say if they are going to be pulling people's Experian report they might as well include it in their monitoring with Trans and Equifax so we can benefit also.

Re: Why did Credit Karma do a soft pull on Experian???

I'm now thinking of contacting CK and asking them! If I don't get a legit answer, I may stop using them. Who know what they do with that information along with the information from TU and EQ. I wouldn't suspect them, but the fact they pulled my EX report is a sign that something else is going on that il not aware of, nor did CK tell me about! It may be fir the offers, but in that case, why not include that report in the app?

I recommend checking out wallethub which has a huge advantage because it updates every day as opposed to every week at CK! However l, wallethub only gives you your TU score and not EQ.

Agreed that it's for their offers, as I'm now being told I have very good odds for approval for an Amex BCP...which I've had for over a year 🙄

I also get offers from CK and the others for cards I've had for years. I miss wisepiggy!
