Are you sure none of them ever replied?  That's very unusual for all of them to not reply.  Did you perhaps get an email you overlooked, or that went to your spam folder?

Did you send your original dispute via CMRRR?  Do you have the docs to prove they received it?

I would send a strongly worded follow-up letter reminding them of their obligations under FCRA, indicating that I have documents proving that they received my dispute.

If they continue to ignore you, an ITS would be the next step.

Re: Why is EQ so low?

None of them have replied that I'm aware of? Two out of the three disputes were corrected, and EQ didn't even bother. Cheddar, to be honest I have no idea what you're talking about, nor know what those acronyms means? I sent three regular mail letters, I haven't heard from either of them.

CMRRR = certified mail return receipt requested
FCRA = Fair Credit Reporting Act
ITS = intent-to-sue letter

There is an abbreviations thread stickied at the top of the forum.

Since you sent your dispute by regular mail, you have no proof of the date EQ recieved it.  Send all disputes via CMRRR so that you will have the green card that serves as proof of delivery.

Re: Why is EQ so low?

Another question... Is it relevant how much money you put down on the vehicle loan, are they more susceptible on giving the promo with a large down payment? Loan will be about 36k, can put about 10-15k down. Will that help, or am I just being paranoid?

Thanks for the info! I apologize for being such an ignorant noob. I guess I'll resend them certified, thanks again!

Re: Why is EQ so low?

Cheddar- I checked my Truecredit FAKO, and the scores are as follows: TU:747 EX: 723 EQ:702 Why such a big diffence from the FICO scores? From what I read on here, mostly everyone's FAKO scores are lower than the FICO, what gives??

Re: Why is EQ so low?

TrueCredit scores, like all FAKOs, are not used by any lenders in the real world, so they are essentially useless to you.  They are different from FICOs because the FICO algorithms are the property of Fair Isaac, and are a trade secret.  FAKO formulas do their best to duplicate it, but since they don't know the actual FICO formulas, the results are far from reliable.

As for why FAKOs are higher than FICOs or vice versa: it's completely random and doesn't mean anything at all.

Please read at least the first post in the Credit Scoring 101 thread linked in my siggy, which explains the FICOs vs. FAKOs distinction in detail.

I just bought a car last month and the dealer and Honda Financial both pulled TU as well.
