Hello,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I am interested in undergoing an upgrade from AMEX ED to EDP. I am scheduled to request a CLI in early March and am curious if anyone knows if undergoing the change will reset the timeline for me to request my increase. May be a foolish question but I couldn't find any answers on this topic. I'm not interested in applying for the EDP outright because I'm hoarding inquiries for mid-summer. Thanks.
Amex CLI requests are based on the person, not on the card.
Is this your first CLI with any Amex product or have you had other Amex products longer?
Your first CLI request on ANY account is allowed at 61 days, after your first CLI request ever, your next CLI request on any card on that account is every 6 months since your last manual request approval.
Right I understand that, thank you. I've had the PRG for some time and just added ED - thinking of phasing out PRG. I just didn't know if changing products would reset the 60 day timeline from the original card. My 60 days would be in early March and I wanted to do a manual request for CLI, but will just hold off on upgrading if the change negates the last month and a half of time towards 61 days. I hope that makes sense.
