applying for new card

I'm wanting to apply for a new card but was wondering what the best card was to apply for.

Which is the best way to go about this, Apply for another store card or apply a for a regular credit card? Apply for both at the same time?

I do have a co-signer if needed and I have a clean credit record. I have a 677 score from EQ.

I currently have 1 store card $3600 limit and owe approx. $500 on it. I pay between $100 and $200 a month on the card and always have it paid off before any intrest kicks in. It's about 1 year old. I'm making my next payment at the end of the week and I'm paying $150. I pay the bill online and usally before the paper bill is ever sent out.

I went through a divorce 18+ years ago and my ex messed up my credit very badly causing me to take BU. I couldn't get my credit going again so I had given up and just started paying for everything, so needless to say my credit cleared itself up and I've had a clean history for quite a while now and decided I better start building it back up.

any advise is welcomed.

Thanks

Re: applying for new card

Have you considered a credit union?
Filed Chapter 13 April 2012. Case successfully closed May 2017, about 1 month after 60th payment. FAKO scores on close date: TU 695 EQ 697. Received discharge July 11th - took forever! Real EX day of discharge 624.
