hard pulls questions

When a company pulls a hard credit report on you do they just look at your credit score or do they look at everything that is on your account. I was told to get more credit cards and i filled out several applications #7 some where declined and some were approved. Just wondering how this all works. I have a feeling that my score is going to go down do to the credit applications. I went into a web site called Whogavemecredit. To check to see if my scores where high enough to apply for them. Thanks

Re: hard pulls questions

on Manual review ALL THINGS ARE CONSIDERED... on Electronic review companies can set criteria that they absolutley will not offer credit if is contained on report they pull.

So the answer is yes to both... Some companies may assign value to recent serious delinquency and less to old ones... And *POOF* approval others may set criteria to look for ANY serious delinquency and *POOF* declined.

These boards and whogavemecredit are good sources for direction.

Good Luck.
