Neither one of these worked for me. Has this worked for anyone?

I used the 20% promo code right from the myFICO page last month, for a triple report purchase. Got all three reports and scores for $48.

Re: myFICO vs CCT?

Just tried using 20% coupon and it says 60 for 3 reports

Edit: Dont try to add all the repprts when clicking on 20% discount link. Add one, go back add another and then add the last one. This way the shopping cart applies to each item in the cart.

Re: myFICO vs CCT?

i definitely liked myFico better.  I paid for it for one month and cancelled.  I then started using CCT.   All for the cost.  I could not justify the monthly cost for quaterly reports when money is tight and I'm rebuilding.   I monitor with CCT and CK at half the price.  I plan on purchasing a car n the April-June time frame so i will one again purchase from myFico to get my auto scores for negotiating.  Then I will probably be back to CCT.  None of the coupons seemed to work the monthly payment with 3B on myFico.

Re: myFICO vs CCT?

I have not used MyFico and have been using CCT. The main reaosn is the cost. I am rebuilding, so CK and CCT are good enough. That extra $15 a month can go towards paying bills. When I get closer to getting a mortgage, I think I'll join MyFico as it seems they do offer more info and have more options. Since I only really care about the general increase/decrease of my standing, I don't feel the need to pay the extra right now.

SO, I'm looking for info from those that have some experience with the 2 plaforms. I bought into the CCT model mainly because of the 50% reduction in cost at cancelation but also there was a lot of buzz about how great it is. Having no point of reference to judge it against I pulled the trigger on the $1-7day deal and converted it before the end of the week.

Experience isn't needed.  Info is available on each site for you to compare.  myFICO's monitoring offers quarterly access to reports and 19 FICO models.  CCT offers daily updates on your EX report and EX FICO 8. IIRC, it's 3/month for TU and EQ (reports and FICO 8's).  CTT ony offers FICO 8.  CCT is on fixed intervals.  myFICO is trigger based.

You have to select the service that suits you best versus worrying that one offers more than the other.  They're different and one size does not fit all.

Don't overlook existing discussions as resources as well.  Both CCT and myFICO are popular topics.

A FICO 8 is a FICO 8.  CCT doesn't provide other models but myFICO's FICO 8 is not any more accurate than CCT's FICO 8.

Because different things trigger alerts, I so happen receive sufficient updated info on myFICO. My scores are always current.

Keep in mind that not all activity with a scoring impact is a trigger.

I had CCT and myfico concurrently, but I was noticing that myfico lags when it comes to updating their scores.  I was eligible for my monthly 3 report pull from CCT and my EQ had jumped 40 points, and as I waited nearly 1 week for myfico to catch on - it never did - hence the cancellation.

Again, myFICO is trigger based and not all activity with a scoring impact is a trigger.  If one wants fixed intervals for updates and that is a priority then myFICO may not be the best option.  The triggers are also a common topic.

Ok. So, let me rephrase....

I feel like I get the most accurate score from myFico because I TRUST it over CCT. I'm aware a fico is a fico. I choose myFICO. OP can make her own decision I'm sure.

No disrespect, but why does comments need to be disected & analyzed? Maybe I need to be more clear? Maybe put my sentences together more accurately? Is this a thesis or a forum? I also will not go back and forth with replies. I digress. I have so much to learn before I'm the FICO expert.

Re: myFICO vs CCT?

No one has mentioned Transaction Monitoring that myFICO 3B subscription provides; quite similar to Mint, although not as extensive and there is no analysis of budgets. I think myFICO 3B with CK covers all of my monitoring needs.
