capital one auto finance?

Does anyone know what their scoring requirements are, and what rates correspond to them, on an auto refinance?

Re: capital one auto finance?

Capital One is generally one of the easist places to get an auto loan.  However, they charge crazy interest rates.

Starting Score: 766
Current Score: 766
Goal Score: 800

Re: capital one auto finance?

 My scores are:

EF 604
TU 624
EX 618

However, my wife's are:

EF 720
TU 721
EX 760

The loan is currently in my name only as is the title - do you think Capital One would allow a joint app on the refinance loan, without having to add my wife to the TITLE of the car?  Reason being, I really don't feel like going through that rigamarole if I don't have to, sitting down at the Maryland Vehicle Administration, for hours and hours...to put her on title...LOL...

Re: capital one auto finance?

Hearts here...

My DH and I just refi'd his 05' Impala.  Original interest rate with Triad Financial was 14%, Capital One offered us 11%.  That was not good enough because the payment actually would have gone up.  I tried HSBC Auto Finance, got a 9.19%  rate and the payment dropped $115.00/month.

They work with you, give you many options as far as how long you want to extend the payments, we just kept the same amount of payments as we had left with the other lender and are still saving money.  They gave us the choice of when the first payment would be due, so we already have the first payment even though it's not due until March 29, 2008.  We refi on Feb. 15, 2008.

By the way, I was co-signer on Dh's loan and I asked to be removed from the new loan and they sent a pwr of attorney form for me to get notarized saying that I waive my rights to be on the new loan.  I didn't need the debt on my credit.

They pay off the lender quick too.

I wrk for COAF in the ttle sdpt, & you won't be able to have your name only on the ttle. Both parties who apply for the loan have to be palced on the ttl. Thats part of the contract agreement. I recommend using your wife as the primary applicant becasue of her credit, you can be secondary applicatn if you really have to be on teh loan. With your wife's scores, (if she has a job and good history ..for refi you could get about 7 - 8.5%.  Due to all this economic mess & deliquencies, we are actually going to be limiting the number of loans we generate.. so jump in soon before the door closes. Good luck.

FYI   COAF pulls all three reports.
