@Anonymous wrote:@ChargedUp What is a NEAMBA membership and where can I join?
Yes she was very rude and I was embarassed at work as she shouted at me...
Don't be embarrassed. It's not your fault about the CSR 👍
@Anonymous wrote:Hello all,
I tried to apply for the AOD credit card. On the application form it clearly says on the first page of application "I am eligible for membership because I work for OR am a member of...".
So I was denied membership, but I am a member of one of the companies on their list. I am not an employee. Is the only way to get approved for membership to be an employee of their list of companies even though it says "OR am a member"?
Is this a typo on their site?
I called their customer service for clarification and was yelled at by their agent and she just hung up on me as I was speaking. Very rude and awful support.
thanks
Thank you
I joined early this year under the bike association that i joined. they asked for proof of the membership and that was it.
@Anonymous do you know if we need to renew the bike membership yearly to keep the card?

I doubt it... All CU's that I know of are "once in, in for life' if you keep the account active anyway.

@spiritcraft1 good to know. How old is the 3% CB card? I hope it isn't just a promotional card... ![]()
@Anonymous wrote:@Anonymous do you know if we need to renew the bike membership yearly to keep the card?
No you do not. I did it once just to get in the door with AOD and that was it. Just make sure you do the Alabama branch of the bike association. I did the one for GA (where I live) and I ended up having to do the Alabama branch instead as that is the one they take. Be prepared to show your SS card as well. I hadn't had mine since probably when I was a teenager but luckly I ordered a new one and it came about one week after I applied for membership. They will ask for a copy of it.
So I became a member (thank you guys), but when I applied for the Visa signature, they countered with the Platinum card.
My credit is over 820, excellent, never missed a payment, employed, over 15yr credit history, the whole 9 yards.
No idea why I am not approved of this... very sad. ![]()

Sorry to hear this.
So, no kind of negatives on your credit report at all?
This is a little surprising, maybe they're scaling back on the VS.
No negatives. They countered me with a $3000 line for the platinum card.
My credit is excellent.

Do you have a lot of available credit, and a large amount of cards?
This wasn't a factor in the beginning, but AOD has tightened strings with those who already have a large amount of credit.
