The credit card isnt in leiu of membership from what I understand. As far as I know youd have to be eligible and join to get the benefits you mentioned, whereas anyone can have the credit card

Anyone tried joining ? It doesnt say you need to be a certain age on their signup page. Just says $16 a year or $12 a year for 5 year membership. Print your membership. Anyone under 50 able to get their membership after signing up ? I only see age restrictions on some benefits like car insurance "Drivers over 50 who switch their Auto Insurance save an average of $404." but i do not see an age restriction for membership nor Chase AARP visa signature card. Let us know! if you're under 50 and have joined AARP because im in my 20s and would like to be part of AARP

So you asked if your AARP cc would work? Did they ask for the membership card?

I wonder if they would need your membership number to put in the code in for the discount otherwise i would not asked if they need a membership card but make them aware you are an AARP by asking if they accept AARP and hopefully when you pay with Chase AARP card they'll remember to put in the discount. Anyone tried that?
