I use ApplePay a lot...but it's not accepted at enough places where I don't have to carry my cards around with me.
But when it is accepted, I do find it very convinient. While waiting in line, I often have my phone in my hand anyway. Then I just put my thumb on the home button, hold it up to the reader, and I'm done. It's fatser then using a chip card for sure.
And I have about a 95% success rate with it. it always works at the places that it's supposed to work at. Some places that have contactless readers, but aren't officially ApplePay places, it's hit or miss.
I would love to use apple pay but none of the stores in my local area accepts it. I even go to the all and they don't have it compatable yet. I just carry my wallet with me.
I tend to shop at Nordstrom, Target, Whole Foods, etc. Just big box stores. I really want to try using it, just never have!
So once you're near a terminal does the card pop up when your finger is on the home button? I think I will go on youtube to watch some videos.

The card will pop up on your screen when the phone is near the terminal. Then you just place your finger on the home button (rest it, don't push it) to pay. That will pay with your default card. Or you can select a different card.
Or, just rest your finger on the home button (rest it, don't push it) as you bring the phone near the terminal.
You don't even have to wake up or unlock the phone.
I use it at one local supermarket, Panera, and McDonalds off the top of my head. I sought out a few more places during the discover Apple Pay promotion, but those are the only ones that stuck.
I used to use it at Petco until they broke it somehow. Works great at Starbucks though, and you don't have to sign even for large amounts either! (Reloaded $30 onto my Starbucks card in-store.)
Nowhere accepts it here and I have android and don't want a phone theif to have my credit. I don't keep any bank info on my phone besides mint.
I use it occassionally. The reason I don't use it whenever possible is because some cashier's aren't trained properly. For example, it works great at Chevron, but sometimes they ask me to see my card and ID even if I use Apple Pay when the amount is greater than a certain amount (I want to say $40 or so). Defeats the purpose.
