Best High Yield Saving account

I found that mySavingDirect offers 1.25% interest for high yield online saving. Followed by GE, Synchrony Bank and Barclays offering 1~1.05% interest. Does anyone have experiences with them and better recommendations for high yield saving account?  Thanks.

Re: Best High Yield Saving account

Some local banks and credit unions have HYS and/or HYC, but you have to meet certain requirements (direct deposit, minimum number of transactions, estatements, etc... it varies).

My local bank has a 2.01% APY checking account with no minimum balance requirement for the first 10K in the account. They do require 15 debit transactions per month, so I stick my lunch money in it every month. Smiley Very Happy

I've only seen this, so far, in smaller local institutions, but it's worth checking out.

Transfering money between banks are available online for free? I checked their website, and the info is not that clear. Also, there are the following requirements:

Minimum of 10 debit card purchases per month;

Minimum of 4 logins to home banking per month...

Yes, no cost transferring money between accounts and the debit transactions are pretty easy.  I just buy gift cards each month to satisfy the requirement.

Is there anyway to automate the 4 logins? Thank you for providing this info.

My amex HYSA is currently at .90. Not bad. My Alliant CU Savings just rose to .95. Not bad. My BoA is .01. Plus they charge if you don't have 500 bucks in there and don't have a certain amount of deposits in the checking. Boo BoA
