Heh @gdale6 you still don't have a cell phone senor?  Isn't it cheaper than a land line at this point? Smiley Wink

I had a response to my email within 2 hours and by this morning the checking account was open and the debit card ordered.

Oh Oh. Looks i run into the same issue with them. I'll try the phone route and if no joy do your email procedure.

I just want to log in and have PIN.

Simple phone call and they sent me PW and can Log In just fine. I wish yours could have gone this simple for you @gdale6

It was beginning to look like a snafu for me too at first.

This wasnt a problem for me they had to send me a pw so I could get logged on initially with my savings account back in December the problem yesterday was they have no way to verify you unless you have a text capable cellphone. I dont use cellphones, they lack alternate ways to verify you. The guy even said to me he had no doubt I was who I said I was and that I was the account owner but he could not discuss anything with me as his SYSTEM was not satisfied. Its getting to the point where machines call the shots, glad I wont be around much longer am old and tired of it all.

@gdale6  Believe me i am totally with you on that. But don''t you dare throw in the towel on this oddball frustration. Your support is always top notch and at times i wonder how you cope with moderating all the nonstop many demands that it requires where you expertly control the forums with tremedous diligence. You know me from way back and your contributions and personal support is helped me compile the best credit profile i would never achieved without your efforts. And i couldn't be more grateful and appreciative. Like you im aging now and grown so tired of now all the sudden trying to restart all over again from scratch after my BK7 last year. Something i never dreamed possible that dumped $750,000 of many years of effort in a single blowout i had no recourse but to resort to. I doubt i will even live out to see that BK7 drop after 10 years. That 10 years is a very cruel punishment given a National Emergency serious deadly pandemic/health disaster than should be, but the obstacle is unavoidable and im tired of it all myself as well.

But i wanted and it's important to let you know that i for one am very thankful in all those many years we grew our profile and will never forget your contributions that helped so many just like me reach the progress that wasn't easy by any stretch but you helped make it exciting and worth every step of the way.

That's all i can offer. Its back to square one for me but i will always hold you in the highest of esteem as a most very important resource and supporter that without it would not have achieved the levels i did reach. Thank You

You always have been a valuable credit to this MyFico forum and to it's members & staff and deserve all the best life can offer you for yourself and family.

Re: DCU impossible to work with on the phone

@gdale6 , what a pain that was for you.  Not everyone has a cell phone, and you can be verified by other means, I just think they dont want too sometimes. Smiley Sad but glad it all worked out!!!

@CreditMagic7 , yes, 10 yrs is a long time to be punished. My 8 years is coming up in a few months, and Im on the tale end now. Smiley Happy
