Congrats on the approval! Hopefully they open up more to you than they have to me. I just got my 2 year anniversary message and I still have the same $1K limit and no preapprovals other than the quick loan that I've had the whole time. DCU uses a lot of the same systems that Service does, even the same preapproval system. Their UW is likely very similar.

Thanks @Anonymous  i hope not but it is what it will be lolSmiley Happy

@AverageJoesCredit, when I initially enrolled in online banking with DCU I used my member number as my logon and the four digit PIN they message me as the password.  It prompted me to change my password once I completed that initial login. Maybe this might work for you.

Thanks! I think i tried that but didnt work. I just got home from work and the member number came today. Short little letter. Ill try this again and maybe it will work if not ill have to call them. Again thanks for the adviceSmiley Happy

Re: DCU membership approved

@AverageJoesCredit You use your member number for the username and the last four of your SSN for the password.

Here is the new member guide. https://www.dcu.org/learn/member-resources/new-members-guide.html

Re: DCU membership approved

Thanks @Anonymous  i was unable to sign in yet yesterday. I even called in and they tried sending me a temp password but i keep getting same screen and putting my phone number in with member number yields same result. The rep said she put in a request with the online banking folks  who have greater access to check. Never had so much trouble signing in . Ill try your suggestion to see what happens. 😊

Nice. I joined them in December for the 6% on the first 1K, I wont be getting any credit with them as I chose the Totten account (Payable on Death Beneficiary) account and I guess its illegal in MA for Totten accounts to hold credit. With every other bank and CU I have credit is not a problem to hold credit accounts too. I will let the interest build and draw it out at the end of the year.

Adding: I see you too are having problems logging in, I had to wait over a week before I could access online banking with help from customer service. Their interface is ridiculous and needs serious work.

You would think they would have their systems figured out by now. :/

Hopefully they get it fixed for you soon man. After you get set up it tends to be smooth sailing. It seems like everyone ends up on the phone with them about something in the beginning though.

Lol yeah i called after work on ride home, about 6:45 pm. Said mad wait time will call me upon my turn. Its now 9:32 pm my time. Crazy indeed. I mean you would figure they could have a create usee account for new members. How do they expect one to sign in without ever creating a password lol. I have my member number, pin nunber, no debit yet and no way to access my account so far. Looks like ill have to play phone tag tomorrow. If this would be everyones experience i wouldnt recommend them. But we'll  see as the saga continuesSmiley Wink

I didn't have the problem logging in that you did. My password was the PIN they sent me but I ended up on the phone with them after my membership was approved to find that out because the site wasn't clear about it. That's why I sent you the link to the new member guide because they didn't send that to me and it would have answered all of my questions.
