Debt management plan programs with the lowest monthly fee

Can someone list me debt management plan company's that has the lowest monthly fee. Like Cambridge credit has a monthly of $50 on top of the monthly payments  for the debts. Seeing if any other dmp companies have a lower fee then that?

Think of joining a debt management plan

I was thinking of joing credit counseling for there debt management plan do they ask for proof of income?

Just stopping by to welcome you to the forums, OP! As far as the answer to your question I don't know, but hopefully someone here can shed some light. Good luck!

Re: Think of joining a debt management plan

What is their process? Is this one of the outfits that has you stop paying your bills until they default and then tries to negotiate lower settlements? If so, PLEASE do not destroy your credit that way. The money you would pay them could be put toward your bills instead, and there is no guarantee of successfully bringing down your balances as much as you may hope. There are other ways to approach the situation.

If you can provide current FICO scores (not Credit Karma or the like), along with a breakdown of your accounts (lender, balance, limit, status of account), collections (if any - same info, plus current owner of the debt and the date of first delinquency), and the income you expect to be able to put toward debt, we can help you assess your options and design a strategy to approach wiping it out.

Re: Think of joining a debt management plan

Hi and welcome

I'm not sure but I think the answer would be "yes" because how else can your debt be managed or a plan put forward without first submitting POI (to see what monies you have to work with).

And as ImtheDevil said, don't pay for this. We can assist you and/or offer advice on how to manage your debt for free. All we need are you data points.

|| AmX Cash Magnet $40.5K || NFCU CashRewards $30K || Discover IT $24.7K || Macys $24.2K || NFCU CLOC $15K || NFCU Platinum $15K || CitiCostco $12.7K || Chase FU $12.7K || Apple Card $7K || BOA CashRewards $6K

Re: Think of joining a debt management plan

Yes they will need POI, to assist with how to budget your finances leaving just enough left to pay them. So in essence you'll not have very much to live on for food and other expenses. As I've said before on this subject, anyone can do everything these companies can do but for free.

If the idea of a budget overwhelms you, I can understand. But people who are in debt shouldn't be wasting Money on these needless services, that could otherwise be used to pay on said bills.

Plenty of people here will be able to assist you on how to work with your lenders.

Good luck to you.

There is nothing these companies can do that you can't do yourself.

Save that money and start reading and posting questions here. It can be done

Yeah I was a dummy myself and was paying the debt relief company "grt financial" but after a few months of that I realised I could just save up and negotiate settlements myself without having to pay any fees...I'll just wait for them to come to me
