Does Chase do a HP to open a Checking account? I've seen old threads form 2012 but wanted to know if things have changed by now. Any one have any good or bad banking experiences with chase?

Opened my checking account online around September after getting a mailed offer. Chase did a SP on my EX report that day. No issues so far, pretty convenient that payments to my Chase card are immediate instead of pending for a couple days

Chase did a soft pull when I opened a checking account with them online last spring. I don't know if they do it in the branches, too.

Nope they probably just use ChexSystems.

Id love to be able to open an account with them. You would think I lived in Montana or something for the nearest chase bank to be almost 200 miles away.

Speaking of ChexSystems .. Finally got my report today, wanted to know what was on it..Notta, clean just that I order 150 checks about a year or two ago lol... Was expecintg more excitement and data &colon;(.. Guess that is a good thing though!

SP and chex only.

Make sure you get a coupon to get a sign up bonus for opening your checking account. I believe there is a $200 one freely available. I bought one on ebay for $8 for a $300 sign up bonus for total checking. Bonus posted a few days ago, happy camper.

Same.. Thought about it, but neighboring state is the only branch which I am still considering.. About a 45 min drive to branch
