I don't post much so hopefully Im doing this right. I started rebuilding my credit in 04/2017. I received a pre-approval offer from Key Bank for a preferred line of Credit. My Equifax score was at 625 with 11 inquiries in the last year. I responded and got a HP from EQ, but I was approved for a $10,000.00 line of credit at 13.25% APR. No previous Relationship with Key Bank. Has anyone else had experience with Key Bank?
Not really sure why you'd want to pay a $50 AF to have a line of credit. Plenty of other institutions don't charge an AF just to have what's basically a flexible loan you can write checks from.
I've found Key Bank to be conservative with medicore credit products.
Congrats on the new line of credit. Nicely done!
I've had a relationship with Key and it's predecessors for decades. I like the services at the branch. I agree that Key is very conservative and the credit card rewards underwhelm. I have their MasterCard. I keep it because it's my oldest tradeline. It is also my lowest credit limit. I was in the branch last week for a meeting with the relationship lady. They want new money. I asked about a CLI and was referred to the 800 number on the back of the card. I'll check with the manager the next time I see him.
If I were not local I probably would not consider Key. Key meets my needs for many banking services. I do business with other institutions as well. Key is my primary.
Great work on the rebuilding and the credit line. Keep up the good work!
