Anyone do one lately? And if so, how long did you wait for it to get either approved or denied? I figure there's going to be some delay with all that's going on and the fact that they manually approve/deny them. Kinda forgot about this aspect of it.
Typically I'll use USAA for this, since they'll instantly approve and make the funds available. Then I Zelle/transfer to NFCU and it's still faster than had I just deposited to NFCU in the first place. But I spaced out and did NFCU this morning because I already had the app open.
the only thing I don't like about the NFCU is mobile disposit, it takes 2 to 5 days
others like Alliant, USAA, BECU I got instantly

Ok, got approved quicker than I thought it would, but not as quick as I have in the past.
Are you sure on BECU? I literally just got off the phone with them before I posted this and had inquired about it because I was going to try them out. They seemed to have exactly the same guidelines as NFCU does. Upwards of $200 available immediately, with anything under $1000 available the next business day and over $1000, 2 business days.

The first $200 should be available immediately.
The rest 2-5 days .. YMMV
I usually ACH funds into Navy .. but once and a while a check.

Ok, wow. The forum let me post a blank post? Weird.
Anyways. Aye, got all that knowledge in my back pocket. Was just curious if they were really delayed with their approval/denials with being short handed and all.

I don't know about others, but for me the deposit is instantly OR maybe my paid checks not big enough for them to put an hold on it
fyi, I deposited a check few days ago for an amount over $1k no problem. BECU is my primary since I become a member

Yeah, mine was only $1200 that I was doing. But what she was saying sounded like she was reading it off of NFCU's website - verbatim. I even commented on it and she just laughed and said she didn't know they were the same.
But yeah, they're definitely off to a great start in my books.
