Navy Fed membership application

I applied to become a member earlier this week. They needed some documents for verification which I sent in. 

Today I get a credit alert that a new bank account has been added - Navy Fed 

Is this normal procedure? Am I approved?

After a new Navy Fed member is approved, a share savings account is opened with a minimum $5 deposit.  So, congrats!  You're a new member.  Welcome to the family!

It sounds like it, but you can always call always call and ask.

When I opened my NFCU account it too said new account opened. It reported only to my TU. I also opened up three other CU accounts within 60 days, but the other CU's did not report a new account opened. I am not sure why they report a new account has opened when it is not a loan or cc account. Either way, I am so pleased with NFCU service it is over the top. Congrats to you on your new account.

I can't understand why you would get a credit alert that a new deposit account was opened.

I got the same alert when I opened my NFCU account. One alert for Consumer Savings & one alert for Consumer DDA

Yeah I have never seen one of these alerts before so I wonder where the alert is coming from.

I got the same alert when I opened my NFCU account. One alert for Consumer Savings & one alert for Consumer DDA

My alert did not come from the app. It appeared as an aleart on my transunion report.
