They have a non-filer form though don't they?

Re: Pending stimulus check

I don’t know. I’ll have to ask them, they just received the dependent payment for the first stimulus, after fighting for months. Seems like they should’ve got it fixed for this payment since they fixed the first one.

The IRS Get My Payment site is finally live today. It tells me:

"We scheduled your payment to be mailed on January 6, 2021 to the address we have on file for you."

I'll be using it toward paying down the personal loan I took out last month when it seemed like a stimulus check was never going to happen.

(Mod cut - not here please) If you didn't get a tax refund via dd the check goes in the mail. No way to access the tool until that mail payment is scheduled. My tax liability was increased by the Tax Cut and Jobs Act so refund via dd or any other method not a option.

Treasury really should allow us to enter bank info for Federal payments. (Mod cut - not here.  Please reference the 5 Things We Don't Talk About @Save-n-Invest)

Re: Stimulus Checks Going Out

My stimulus that was mailed on the 6th finally showed up today. Perfect timing too since I just spent $1300 on computer parts yesterday lol.

Re: Stimulus Checks Going Out

Saeren, congratz on the timely arrival of your check. I hope it will be a good omen for me as well. My check was supposedly mailed on the 6th, but I have yet to see it. Funny thing tho, the last payment was dd, so why did they opt for snail mail this time? Maybe so the govt. could have a few more weeks' use of those funds...?

Re: Stimulus Checks Going Out

Semi retired w/Soc.Sec. retirement bennies + still work part time, I file a Fed return just to generate an AZ state return to get my AZ state income tax back, no fed tax withheld, no fed tax liability so no refund & they don't have my bank info.

I got first stimulus by check, got my 2nd stimulus last week, a blankity-blank debit card. Smiley Frustrated I hate those pre-loaded debit cards, by design if you use them to buy things it's pretty much impossible to drain to the last dollar, and I use reward CCs to pay for things. So I stopped by a BBVA branch and asked the teller politely to do a $600 cash advance on the card & put it into my checking account. Mission accomplished. Smiley Very Happy

Didn't get your Economic Impact Payments? Claim them on your tax return.

The IRS did miss some people with the Economic Impact Payments related to the Coronavirus. AKA, "Stimulus Checks".

If you qualify but did not get the payments, you can use Line 30 on your 2020 1040 tax form.

If you use TurboTax to file, then it will ask you if you got a stimulus payment and how much you received and then do the math for you and claim the correct amount if the IRS didn't send the payments or sent less than you were supposed to get.

I saw some people asking how to get them if the IRS missed them. Before you claim it, make absolutely sure you DID NOT receive the payments already. If you are unsure, you can check whether you received the payment at the IRS website.

I always just put them on my Amazon account and drain them with reloads.

I mean the mail has been excruciatingly slow. I had the state mail me a letter from literally 10 minutes away and it took a week to get here.

I dunno about the change from direct deposit. My last one was mailed too because their stupid tool doesn't allow me to add my direct deposit because I filed taxes but didn't have a refund.
