@TrapLine here is the price of two boxes personal high security checks no design etc from Deluxe. I Had to give them some basic info to get the price. I do not know if banks / credit unions negociate prices with check printers or not.
Same item from Walmart checks who uses Harland Clarke (at least they did when I ordered).

Glad you mentioned Walmart. Did not know they had checking printing services available. Store near me.
Interesting the pricing you obtained from Delux Corp. For your information they have been reallocating resources and changing their company focus due to the serious drop in the paper check printing business. As we know, and admitted by Delux, the younger at heart use alternatives to paper checks and it has impacted the corporation's bottom line. They had to rethink whether they would exist into the future and with this in mind, taken a new direction which is not the printing business.
@TrapLine The Walmart check printing is availible via the web. I do not think it is availible in store. I could be wrong.

At the risk of taking this further off-topic (let 'em come for us... we're having a good discussion here, ha) I'll mention Sam's has a similar offering: https://www.samsclubchecks.com/
I didn't dig too deep, but I suspect they're using the same backend just with different quantities/pricepoints.
Wait, you guys pay for checks??? :-o
Imma going to allow you this one, but

@UncleB wrote:Wells Fargo has offered a number of different checking accounts over the years, and when they stop offering one they generally grandfather anybody who currently has it. Apparently that has changed.
The account that used to be offered to senior citizens was done away with a while back, and now they're apparently force converting those folks to their 'Everyday Checking' account.
Info on the change here: https://sites.wf.com/essentialtoeveryday/
I am a secondary account holder on an account of this type. At-a-glance, what I notice that has been lost of most value is the discount on check orders, which many people in the age bracket for this account type will likely still be using. The account monthly fee has increased from $7 to $10, but the activities for waiving the fee have been (slightly) expanded and the minimum direct deposit is still the same ($500) so this isn't likely to trip-up many people.
The other account I have with WF is a Preferred Checking account; this is also being force-converted to an Everyday Checking account.
Got my email notification yesterday from WF about forced conversion of my Complete Advantage checking to Everyday checking. I then looked at my last statement and sure enough it was mentioned in fine print. July 2024 conversion (22nd?).
I have a prime checking account as well. Unless you qualify for a loophole exclusion, there is a $10 monthly service fee for Everyday and $25 for Prime checking, respectively. I'd go elsewhere except for fee exemption and free checks due to the checking being linked to a qualifying minimum balance account.
Wonder what your Karma Field for Banking looks like? ...
@ptatohed Ally Bank unlike Discover does not have free checks. The other reason is I write 2 or 3 a month. Other than that if possible is electronic
