31 hard inquiries deleted from EQ

I was able to get 31 hard inquiries removed from my EQ CR. is that going to help my score somehow?

It really depends, inquiries only affect your score for the first year, from what i was told! So it depends on how recent the inquiries were!

Also how did you get that many removed?

I was shopping for a car last year and I tried 4 different dealers, each time I got them to sign me acknowledgment that they will run my credit only once. but as usual they tried 10's of banks and financial companies and that dropped my score really bad. I disputed these items over the phone and never been asked to send copies of what dealers signed. I received an e.mail today and Bam! they were all gone! so it was only a matter of 3 days.. most of these inquiries were from November/ December of 2007

i thought they only counted as 1 anyway if you shopped within a certain period of time.  But they did that to me a few years ago.  I finally had to call the dealership and yell "stop it."

how did you dispute them online fill out the letter and mail it in? Or dispute with TU online? Let us know what kinda score jump you have.

Wow...I just went through the same mess....mainly last month but some since November. I had 20 total. Glad to know you disputed over the phone and got the inquiries off your report. I will follow in your footsteps and do the same. Wish me luck with getting the inquiries off my reports and a possible slight score jump. There is so much useful info in the myfico forums.

As I mentioned in my original post I had to call for this particular type of dispute because you can't do it online. I encourage everyone suffered unauthorized credit check to call CRAs and request it to be removed immediately.

I am currently waiting on my TU and EX reports and lets see if they will remove them from my report. I will keep you guys posted... I am hoping for a good jump since each hard inquiry takes 3 points.. I will be happy with 30 points jump

I just had 18 hard inquiries removed by dispute on 4-26. i am with ya I hope this helps my score. All were from March of this yr. I also had two accounts updated and all lates removed and the charge off removed from them. I hope it helps
