Bank of Missouri/Milestone cc charge off help?

Hello everyone,

I have a family member who had a Milestone credit card, which seems to be through The Bank of Missouri. It went late and was charged off, and is listed as a closed account/CO with a $0 balance on their reports, under TBOM/Milestone. It was also sent to collections, but they paid it and the collections account was removed from their reports. So the only thing left is the OC TL as stated above. It was a $300 CL card, but the amount that was sent to collections ended up being about $700 due to lates stacking up and fees and such.

I am not at all familiar with this card or lender, and haven't been able to find much on here related to them/CO's with them. Does anyone have any info or experiences with them? As I said it's already been paid, but looking for info on if anything else can be done about it, such as if they seem to be receptive to GW attempts, or are willing to exclude the TL after its been paid, etc.

Greetings Remi1 ~ There are a couple of threads if you enter "The Bank of Missouri" . . . but it seems that a few threads reflected TBOM wasn't the easiest to deal with. I'm wishing your family member success in getting the trade line purged -but- the challenge is that it's already paid -and- in my opinion, that leaves very little room for negotiation.
