CA validation is wrong

Portfolio Recovery sent validation on a charged off account however what they are trying to collect on is incorrect to the balance that was owed during the chargeoff. they havnet added any charges just that the chargeoff amount isnt even close to what they are trying to collect. the charge off was $230 however they think i owe $501

Since this is inaccurate how should i go about disputing this for deletion?

Depending on the OC contract, a CA can add fees, and penalties, as long as it doesn't violate the binding OC contract stipulations.
