Capital one goodwill adjustment letter 2020

Is there anyway you can PM me the contact info you used for Capital one? I have tried to send letters to publically noted e-mails to no avail. I have one 30 day late after 9 years as a card holder and I am trying to get it removed.

I tried doing this and got nowhere. In fact, I got nowhere with several companies. All of them kept saying the same thing which was they were reporting correctly on the credit bureaus and there's nothing they can do. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing, as you are essentially asking them a favor to remove those lates its up to them if they will do so by doing a null report for those months. All you can do is keep trying. The law is IF they report it must be correct, nothing says they have to.

I also did this. I sent my 1st email in mid-June 2020. I got a call telling me to pound salt. I did NOT give up.... I sent another email, same result.  Then I started to read some other successful letters. The catch is that you have to make yourself sound like you just survived an extreme life-altering catastrophe. So, I started to write as if I was creating a mellow dramatic action movie. I was ashamed for about 30 seconds... I got a call the next day. The sad little letter worked and I was granted the removal of my one and only late payment from Sept 2019. (waiting)

So I received a call out of the blue from Capital One. They told me they received my GoodWill letter from May 2020 and would remove all late payments from all 3 Credit Bureaus ON BOTH MY PLATINUM AND QUICKSILVER credit cards!!! This is after receiving multiple calls stating it was "against their practices" of reversing late payments from credit report lol. My advice would be to remain hopeful, keep sending in letters, pay the balance down to $0 and you should be fine.
