Collection Shield 360 Success

I paid a collection sent to SW Credit Systems via TIme Warner. I tried/begged both SW Credit Systems and Time Warner to remove the collection from my credit report, but both refused. I disputed through the Credit Reporting Agencies and EX removed it immediately. However, it looked as if I was stuck with it on both my TU and EQ. Then I heard of Collection Shield 360. I signed up (for free) and they started to dispute this and another collection I have on my report. Within 3 days, I received an alert from MyFico that my score on TU increased 35 points! I checked my TU report on their website and SW Credit Systems was gone! 3 days later, I received another alert from MyFico that my EQ score increased 34 points! I pulled my Equifax report and what do you know? SW Credit Systems is now gone from there too! So happy Smiley Happy

I celebrate with you because Collection Sheild 360 has gotten my last collection removed! Like you I read about them.  However, since I had only one collection left (I started with 8 in 2014 if I remember correctly)  I did not sign up right away.  I only recently signed up after I had no luck with this last one.  It took Collection Sheild 360 10 days to get it removed.  I even received a letter from the collection agency saying they will delete!

Congrats!! I just signedup recently and hoping they can assist with my last couple collections (1 paid) that I am getting zero traction on.

How are they so successful with the removals?

@walkergsr, They look for errors/FCRA violations. They act as a lawyer on our behalf. If they find any major violations that result in fines, they keep something to the tune of 80%. They have all of the info on their website.

It is free to the consumer.

Re: Collection Shield 360 Success

This company can't do anything that you can't do yourself. If information is accurate no company can remove it, legitimately anyway. If a creditor decides to remove a collection through a PFD that's another story, but if something is inaccurate there's no reason you can't remove it yourself without giving a company your private info and or your money.

Not a bad deal. Heard of them before but never did any research on them.

@creditguy, The company is free so there's nothing to lose. It was a fail when I tried it, but a win when CS360 took a stab at it. Glad they were around to help me.

Re: Collection Shield 360 Success

Trying37 - were your collections listed as collection accounts?

We have one that is listed as "other" and settled for less than full amount. They said they would remove but didn't remove after we paid. Since it isn't a "collection" account I'm curious if that account is something collection shield can work on or not.
