Comcast Collection

i'm helping someone start getting new credit cards (they've never had any). when they showed me their CR there was a collection from Comcast about 6 months ago. what are our options for getting this removed. she wants to call comcast and speak to them but i told her to wait first because i think we need to send letters (pay for delete) first. she has not actually gotten any collection letters as the letters that were probably sent were send to an old address.

Re: Comcast Collection

As a current and long time Comcast customer, I went through the corporate office and got my Comcast collection removed. My issue was an old bill from moving.

Re: Comcast Collection

She needs to pay the bill. Then it will show up as paid on her credit reports. Then she can try a goodwill letter to the executive office.

she explained to me that she had moved and stopped service but she was still getting charged for like 3 months which was why it went to collection. she ended up calling a few days after i made the topic and they removed all the charges aswell as the removal of the collection account. so now we are waiting for the 30 days to see it removed. she also got service again a few days later. so everything is good now.
