Credit Karma..Reliable?

I have been solely concentrating on the MyFICO score.  However, the score on Credit Karma is 607 and MyFICO is 568.  From the actual TransUnion website TU shows me at 601.  Why so many variances?

Re: Credit Karma..Reliable?

The one from myFICO is a true FICO score.  It is TU98 and though not used by many lenders it is still a FICO score.  The one from CK and TU are not FICO they are FAKO and there is no correlation between them and a FICO.

Different methods of scoring.

Re: Credit Karma..Reliable?

I am solely working on the score here on MyFICO.  It still hasn't budged since March.  Still holding tight at 568.

What do you mean?  They are all pretty much the same.  I don't think any of them have anything the other one doesn't.

Re: Credit Karma..Reliable?

Although Creditkarma is not an accurate score, I like to follow it because it still shows trends.  Interesting enough, when I recently refinanced, myfico score went down a few points, creditkarma went up.  So, although I know the score is not an accurate score, you can follow the history....for about 4 years now for me.

Starting Score: EQ 679, TU 697
Current Score: EQ 680, TU 672
Goal Score: EQ 720, TU 720

I meant things that could cause your score not to increase.  Collections, CO's, PR etc.

Re: Credit Karma..Reliable?

I don't pay attention to the ck score, I just watch what it reports, and when I see something new on my report that can affect my score, I will usually purchase my TU score from myfico. That saves me from purchasing my score needlessly when nothing has changed.

Re: Credit Karma.Reliable?

In my opinion its is very reliable. At the end of April it was showing 620, but since i'm trying to improve my score to buy a house I decide to visit a bank and let them inquiry my credit just to know how far from the minimum score required I was. They asked if I how my score and I told them the 620 from Credit Karma, and the inquiry came out with the 3 score's showing: TU 621 EX 620 EQ 619. The following days CK reflected the inquiry and deducted one point and it is same like fico score: 619.

Re: Credit Karma..Reliable?

On MyFICO all I have is the Equifax score.  I have a subscritption with TU from thier website, not here.

Genuiss- I have:

state tax lien for $2800

3 Medicals $0 balance as of March, OC refused to recall.  Have emailed my first GW letter to CA.

3 medicals supposed to be being recalled, will pay the OC

1 utility bill, making payments on, being recalled June

1 utility bill paid down from $396 to $296 (I will be calling after I make another payment to ask for recall)

2 utility to fall off in the next couple months

1 auto repo falling off in the next couple months

I'm pretty sure this is all.
