I got a call from a debt collector, i immediatley called the oc - medical practice and talked to them about the issue. I paid the 190 that i was billed for. Over a year later i see this on my credit report the original amount was list on credit report as 190 and it says i owe 49.88. I called the CA and they said the 49 was fees. I never recieved a bill from the for the 49 after i paid the original amount and the 49 was not on the original biill. I have worked very hard to get my credit back in order and this should not be on my credit report. I paid the amount due and was never sent a bill for these fees. I live in NJ i am looking to see what the amount is that they can charge. I asked the OC if this would be on my credit report and they said no. I never heard from the CA again.
What can i do about this had i know i would have paid it. I will try a pay for delete if what they are doing is legal. Any help would be great
