Disputing a TL when you have multiple accounts with the creditor

I used to do A LOT of banking with my local credit union, so therefore I have MULTIPLE tradeline with this bank such as 3 credit cards, 2 auto loans, and a mortgage all from my local CU.

During my financial troubles, all 2 of my CC with this CU went late several times (which one was a business CC) and the CU ended up closing the card after it hit 150 days late. This account was not charged off, but closed and I have been paying it off with the local CU ever since then.

I would like to dispute JUST this account and have it removed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I disputed this account and a currently open CC with TransUnion, and after 30 days, they deleted BOTH accounts AND my 3rd CC that I didn't dispute.

I do not wish to have my other CC's with this bank deleted, just the one that has been closed off and nearly paid. So my experience with TransUnion makes me leary of trying it again

Thoughts?

Don't do it.

By your own admission, the data is accurate. Disputes are for inaccurate information not just because we don't like it reporting lates.

Frivolous disputes such as this can back fire on you resulting in undesirable outcomes. If you value the relationship with this CU be aware that some lenders look poorly at disputes of accurate information (it cost $$ to investigate disputes) and it could "color" your relationship in the future.

Whos the CU? Most will reopen or give another chance once paid in full. Some disputes are removed during an investigation and re-entered once completed. It will come back fresh and your scores will take a hit. We cant talk about decieving disputes on here. I'll leave it at that.

This is exactly why you don't dispute accurate info. Just because we don't like a negative TL, it doesn't mean we can just dispute it away. Sometimes that backfires, like in this case. If you dispute again on other bureaus, you may end up with the same result. I'm surprised it hasn't already happened, as the bureaus sometimes communicate with each other on disputes and/or the creditor sends out an update to all 3 bureaus.
