It's an interesting idea, but as it stands, I think it's more about marketing and data mining than it is about actually helping credit. I am sure there are exceptions. If someone only looks at your scores without further analysis, it might help.
I think counting utility bills in credit is fair. They should probably all have been doing that, all along.
My problem is the "too good to be true" aspects, like only counting the good stuff, and/or letting the customer try it, see if it helps or hurts, and then turn it off if it doesn't help. That makes it inherently lack credibility. JMO!
