I had a auto loan with Credit Acceptance with a 54 month term, that I ended up paying off 7 months early (approximately a year ago).
Over the 47 months that I had an open loan with them, I had a total of 6 late payments, 30 Day Lates.
So I figured I'd try a Goodwill Letter approach to get these lates possibily removed after reading quite a few threads bout GW sucess (even though they are rare), but what sticks out to me is, you never know and it doesn't hurt to try. You will never have any success unless you try and repeat again, again, and again until you sucecced or they age off.
So, the one thread I seen was sending out MULTIPLE GW Letters, 1 for EACH Address you could find in hopes of getting as many different people to see your letter. Sounds good to me.
So far, I was only able to find THREE addresses for Credit Acceptance:
Credit Acceptance
P.O. Box 551888
Detroit, MI 48255-1888
Credit Acceptance
25505 West 12 Mile Rd.
Southfield, MI 48034
Credit Acceptance
P.O. Box 513
Southfield, MI 48037-0513
Does anyone have any others?
Also, sould I send one to each executive I can find? Or just start with the CEO and then start sending them to different executives after each round.
So my plan was to send an identical GW Letter to each of the addresses I posted above (and any others if anyone can provide one) and the CEO Booth.
Thoughts?
You can try all 3 you listed. If it comes back no go. The new ones you find. Then hit them up. Bout all you can do.
I would hit up the CEO, President and VP of operations
Goodluck man. Since Credit Acceptance is a subprime auto finance company and they're meant to give a chance to risky borrowers it might be difficult to get them to remove it as they did u a favor by getting you a auto loan when no other company tried too.
Sent out 5 letters today! Will update if I hear back.
If not, I'll keep sending them out once a month until my reports are clear of them!
Just received an Email today from Credit Acceptance (Compliance Analyst) saying my request has been received and will be reviewed and responded via mail.
That could be good news? Considering I didn't email them, just snail mail.
Not a lot of DP's on them. Its 50/50. Good Luck.
DP?

For your convenience:
Still no response other then the email.
The only thing that was said in the email (8 Days ago) was we are reviewing your case and you will be notified by mail.
Just how long should I wait before emailing the person back to check on a status? I figure at least 3-4 weeks before contacting them again IF I haven't heard anything?
