How to find correct DOLA/DOFD?

I have a couple baddies that are going to be approaching the SOL within the next year or two.  From what I understand, the SOL starts at the DOFD, but I have only ever seen the DOLA reported.  Also, how do I know which is the correct one? There is one large one in particular that I am worried about, and TU is reporting the DOLA as Nov. 2003, EQ is reporting it as Feb. 2003, and EX is reporting it as Oct. 2004 (yes, 2004, the "4" was not a typo).  EX is also showing a date of last payment of Nov. 2003, though.  How can I find out when the SOL started for this account?

IMO, the dates are often wrong on the CRs, at least for me anyway. I find that the most reliable proof of DOFD is to look on your TU and/or EX CRs pulled directly from EX or TU. On those reports you will usually find a drop off date. Take that date and subtract 7 yrs (CRTP) and then add the number of years based on your state's SOL to see if SOL is up or not. Some CO'd CCs may not list that date, though, as they can have the ability to turn good and report for another 3 yrs beyond CRTP of 7 yrs for a baddie.
