Last collection

Ok so started out with 5+ collections. Had them all deleted with full payments. Woot woot. Got first secured credit card with capital one. Now the question is there is one more collection left on Experian. It falls off in 1 year and 8 months. Should we take care of it, or does it even matter at this point? It's going to take probably another year+ to get her credit score up to 750 and by that time this collection will fall off anyways. Her scores are floating around 640, we have two mispayments to take care of still. Which is duable with the companies they are with. I put her on my credit card which made her score jump from 500 to 640 in two months.

if its not updating monthly you can let it go until it drops then settle for much less since it would be a Zombie. If its updating I would try to settle. I would also obtain 2 more cards 3 are the minimum required and they should be held in her name.

Re: Last collection

But won't she get denied because of the collection?

If its updated recently a good chance of denial, if it hasnt updated in years then the odds are more on the approval side. Its why I said if its updating monthly settle it and try the PFD first to stop the updating.
