Again!  It's NOT the date it's updated or last reported!  It's the status date and the date reported since!  NOT the last updated date!!

They remove and reinsert making themselves look like a NEW collection!  The only date they are allowed to change is the last reported date!

For example:

Hubs and my accounts went into collection in 2012, PRA purchased it in Feb 2015.  The status should read past due since Feb 2015 when PRA purchased it!  The date reported since should read Feb 2015 which is when PRA first reported the collection on my report!

How can the date of 1st reported be April 2016 when they have been on the reports since February 2015??!!  When you 1st report something, that is the date it is 1st put on your report, it is similar to the date opened!

Date Reported

The date reported is the date that financial information about your account was reported to the credit bureau. This date is important because it impacts whether or not financial information such as your credit card/mortgage/auto loan balance will be used when determining your credit score. Because the balance amount on your credit accounts helps to determine your credit utilization, the inclusion of the most up-to-date information is critical. If the date reported is too old, the information may not be accurate so the credit bureau excludes the information when calculating your score.  https://www.myhorizontoday.com/bankruptcy101/four-important-dates-and-what-they-mean-to-your-credit-score/

Re: PRA Collection

Is that on your actual report or on cct / ck? Do they change dates on all 3 reports every month or just one report?

Re: PRA Collection

They are doing this same thing to me. I didn't have Synchrony reporting a "Open" account until 5/6/16 and now all of a sudden 1 account is showing and Open but charged off. And it shows I am over my CL and my utilization is like 168% and now they are reporting recent late payments. I just tried to call them to find out why they are all of a sudden reporting and they told me that they could not locate my account but gave me a # to a "external partner" that could.  I am so confused, why would it just now start reporting?

Re: PRA Collection

The photo I posted was from my TU CR. That's the only one they report to each month on the 19th. Checked TU again this morning and it is gone again and I assume will remain off my report until the 19th of next month for one day.

I didn't do the complaint yet.  Was weighing my options to sue or complain. LOL

I've looked at the CFPBA's complaint data base to see how to word everything that's happened. LOL

I'm composing the complaint now and plan to submit by Friday.  I don't think I'm going to start a lawsuit because hubby is going for surgery next week and I just don't have time to go see a lawyer nor will I have $$ to pay one while he's out of work.
